After reading ten pages of Showoff by Gordon korman, I chose not to read this for my second book report. I chose not to read it for my book report because I didn't like the way they plotted the book. Another reason I chose not to read it was because it wasn't the kind of book I like. But lastly I didn't chose this book because I read all the other ones and they can be hard to follow. I rated the book three stars because it didn't interest me the way I thought it would. I think if I would of read the book fully I would of rated it better. This book is titled Showoff. The author of os book is Gordan Korman and the genre would be mystery/adventure. The main characters are Griffin, Ben, and Luthor. Dmitri makes his debut later in the book.This is the first book they focuses more on Luthor and dogs. As Luthor destroys a competition and injures a famous dog named Electra, Savannah's family has been charged 7,000,000 dollars and Luthor gets to go to the impound. Griffin and his team have to find a way to help Savannah get 7,000,000 dollars and keep Luthor. Can they do it? Find out by reading this book. Some minor problems from the characters was that Griffin and Ben had to find the worlds best dog whisperer, Dmitri. They had difficulty since no one has seen him for three years. My favorite character was Dmitri. I liked the way he talked because he sounded so valiant by speaking in third person. It made me laugh too. My favorite part of the story was when they caught who made Luthor act crazy in the competition. It made say in my mind, "Ohhhhhh, she did it." My least favorite part of the story was when Dmitri had to go to the hospital. It made me feel sad since he was my favorite character and he didn't deserve to go to the hospital. I would recommend this book to people who like mysteries. I think this is the best book of the series since they showed Luthor as a more rounded character. This book deserves five stars.
