Sidney Sheldon's The Tides Of Memory (2013) - Plot & Excerpts
This not the 1st book I read as 'Sidney Sheldon's by Tilly Bagshawe. The writer, is writing in the famous style of Sidney Sheldon, creating the plot and unpredictability of the ending till the last pages of the novel. However, Tilly manages to add her own pallet of colors and shades to the character's development. She weaves the invisible, in the beginning, connection between the political figure of Britain's cabinet and rich, spoiled and rebellious young female of American descent. As the plot thickens, the reader is pulled into almost believing in "fate's vicious circle" until a hint here and there points to the statement -any actions , even the ones without pre-meditation, cause the ripple of consequences to come full circle and in the process cause pain and suffering to the most innocent bystanders. No good deed goes unpunished and personal tragedy of one family will tear apart the lives of many others to avenge one life lost. It feels that in the process of merging SS's and her own styles, Tilly Bagshawe culminates another masterpiece. Well, it got kind of predictable at times or maybe that's because having read a lot of such books, i have become known with Sheldon antics. Other than that, there were a lot of loop holes and weaknesses that i personally believe shouldn't have been there considering Sidney Sheldon is a a very old, experienced author. There were so many unrealistic things, starting with a girl going to such great political heights with an unknown, hidden past, i mean seeriously? Sweetie, no. I learnt how to change identity from Grisham's book 'The partner' BOY! That's how you 'disappear'. Anywho i'd rate it a 2/5.
What do You think about Sidney Sheldon's The Tides Of Memory (2013)?
