The Single Woman was an encouraging book for me as a single woman. I found the author shared similar experiences which reminded me I'm not the only one who struggles with areas related to the single life. It was a very refreshing read that encouraged me to get out there and enjoy life and make the most of it whether I have a man in my life or not. I gave it 3 stars because I would've liked to have seen a bit more meaty, practical advice rather than feel good nuggets of wisdom. But other than that I recommend it for those who are choosing to live life as a single whether by choice (not wanting to settle for mediocre but great) or out of current circumstances (recent breakup). I thought this author is very upbeat and positive. She presents her information in easy to understand ways and writes in a way that captured my attention. I love her examples that she gave in the book. However their is not very much mention of Jesus or God in a book that is advertised as Christian and she seems to promote advancing of self. The book focuses a lot on "Self" while the Bible teaches us to focus on God's Will and take up our cross daily meaning We put Him first in our Lives. Im on the fence right now about whether to recommend this book or not. All I can say is if you read this book read it thinking with your mind does what she say align with God's word? Don't make the mistake of believing everything in this book just because the message is "feel good."
Great book!!! Must read by all! Females, males, married, single (ALL!!!!)
