The second book of the Brooklyn Sinners series is Pablo and Devon’s story.Like the first book it’s was an entertaining read. The sex was hot and the plot was gripping, and again we watch a good guy fall for a bad guy. I’m not entirely sure why but I enjoyed this book more than the previous one. I will definitely continue reading. Now on to Kane and Syren’s story. :) Juan Pablo Castillo was left running Los Pescadores "Los P" after his boss and best friend Angelo Pagan chose to go legit and be with his love Detective Gabriel Ashby in Book 1, Love the Sinner. While Juan was hurt as he was also in love with Angelo, he was dealing with thefall out of being boss, assassination attempts. So he decided it was time to pay his enemies back, and he would start with Devon McGhee, his enemies #2. But as he toyed with Devon, he couldn't escape the feelings Devon awoke in him. What is it about Devon that captivated him? Is this what Angelo felt when he was around Gab? Pablo is a crime lord and many people depend on him for their living and he isn't willing to walk away. He has to decide if this side action with Devon is worth the trouble it's sure to bring his way. This story was different enough from book 1 to be just as enjoyable. I loved the chemistry between Pablo & Devon. I loved the fact that Devon wore his feelings on his sleeve. He was never afraid to voice what he wanted. The writing kept me interested and flowed well. The sex scenes were plenty and were hawt. These two guys definitely had that combustible energy and I was feeling it! The narrator brought each character to life. i don't know what is going to happen to Mateo and the rest of Los P, but I want them to find love too. I will continue to listen to this series.
What do You think about Sinner, Savior (2012)?
Started off slow, but then really picked up for me in the second half of the story.
