Having read Dakota Madison's Matchplay only a few days before I started Slow No Wake I knew I would be reading another contemporary NA romance. Except, for me, Slow No Wake, lacked the spark of Matchplay and Lexie was certainly not the tenacious female I wanted her to be. In fact, her indecisiveness irritated me, and I tolerated her for the sake of the story. It was not only in her relationships with Eddie and Daniel that I felt her character should have been more emphatic, but definitely when her sister arrived! Although her need to make everyone else happy overrides her own desires my first thought was 'you just wouldn't!However to be honest Lexie is almost as guilty as Heather since she has moved to Florida and Slow No Wake does not present a very healthy view of trust in relationships, whether they are romantic or just friendships, which is ironic for a story in which the characters work as therapists!Although Daniel and Lexie's romance was 'nice' I always felt Lexie was settling for second best, however for me Eddie was the extreme and too aggressive.Slow No Wake will be enjoyed by fans of NA romance, especially those who like a love triangle! I look forward to reading more of Dakota Madison's books. I liked this book. Who wouldn't want 2 men want them at the same time.Lexie ended her engagement because she caught him cheating and get this with her sister!! oh dang.She decides to move to Florida to get a new start and to swear off men.Well I can say that didn't happen. Eddie was 1 of her 2 suffer neighbors who perused her the minute she moved in. Daniel was a co-worker who was shy but wanted to get to know her better. I didn't really feel a connection with Daniel and Lexie. I think she wanted him more than Eddie because he was laid back on how he aproched her. She only new him for a few weeks and was already in love with him. Yes I know love at first sight but I didn't feel that with them.Now the sexual tension with Eddie was great. That was something she didn't have with Daniel. I don't know why she didn't jump him. But she was looking for more than a one night stand and Eddie didn't do 2 nights. Eddie wanted her and he didn't care about Daniel. I really thought they were going to have a 3 some LOL!!I am not even going to speak about her sister. I don't think I could of had my sister in the same house after what she did. I would of killed her.The ending was OK. At least the sister didn't end up with Lexie's man. The other characters in the book were alright. I think they were just there to give Lexie and Daniel and Eddie something to do. It wasn't really a long book and it wasn't really a quick read. If your looking for a woman scorned and now has 2 men vowing for her. Then this is the book.
