Ok, I read this book so fast I didn't even have time to put it on my Goodreads "Reading" shelf before I was done with it. I read the last half last night, I just couldn't put it down. This is a very funny book, and with Charlie and Cookies' quick-witted banter I found myself laughing out loud at times. Charlie, being the Grim Reaper, surprisingly doesn't take herself too seriously and I really love that about her. She's a bad-ass bitch, but not a bitch if you get what I mean, and in this book we are just starting to find out what powers Charlie really has as she tries to protect the corporeal body of her incorporeal lover, Reyes, the son of Satan....got to love it. Won't say any more except that with my beloved Hollows series ending, it's nice to have another group of heroes and weirdo's to look forward to. Think of Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum, only more idiosyncratic, and if she'd wound up in a world similar to Jim Butcher's Harry Dresden. Really funny characters, snappy dialogue, story arcs that make sense, and, of course, squishy romance. If you've been BFFs with characters like Stephanie Plum for some time now and have been looking for a paranormal/fantasy series to jump into, Jones's Charley Davidson is someone you should look up for a coffee date.
What do You think about Soldan İkinci Mezar (2011)?
I absolutely love this series and this author!!
