I felt the author had a great story line and it was well written. Brynn O'Connor was able to hold and maintain my attention with the plot twists and turns. However what I hated most about it was the continuous narration. I think that's where the biggest fail is. I wanted more dialog and interaction. A build up of all the characters, to be inside their heads and see myself as one of them. Crazy but true, I wanted to be able to visualize myself in the storyline whenever I pick up a book. I wasn't able to develop any connections with the characters. They themselves had no depth or emotional ties, they came across as being shallow and weak, even though they are harden badasses with a lot of hatred. When the events would unfold as reader you would expect to feel something. Whether its rage, sorrow, pain and anguish; I felt none of these things. I kept saying just read a bit further and maybe the story will get better, because of how good the plot is. But nope, nuh huh, nothing! Its really sad because this MC book appeared to be full of potential. I'm sorry but I won't be recommending it to anyone. When I found out that Brynn O'Connor had another motorcycle club novel out, I knew immediately I had to get my hands on it! And once again, I definitely wasn't disappointed at all! O'Connor has a way with words that completely attract you into her novels, making you become part of the story, and be captured by the character and stories. And, in Sons of Chaos, she managed to do this again! Sons of Chaos is whole different spin on romance novels and has you from the get go. It's fast paced, gritty, and gets right down into the unruly world of the motorcycle club. It had everything a motorcycle cycle club romance novel needs, and more - violence, guns, murder, and sex. The main characters are easy to follow and easy to fall in love with. Just like Kayla falls for badass biker boy, Luke. Kayla has vowed to never fall for a biker boy, ever. But you she can't help falling for a specific biker boy who happens to hand on her ER table. I recommend this book 100%! And even though it's a stand alone book, if Brynn does decide to write sequels, or even other biker novels, I'd buy them in a heartbeat!
What do You think about Sons Of Chaos (2013)?
