If you are a member at a church, if you attend a church regularly, if you have stepped inside of a church, or if you have even heard the word 'church', please take a few moments and read this book. For those of us who have been in the church for a long time, these truth's may not be new but they are still convicting. I even work for a church and I was still challenged about my role in the church body as I read through Rainier's thoughts. I also appreciated that Rainer got right to the point which made this a simple read (finished it in one evening) that is filled with a life time of reminders about how I can respond to God's gift of love and grace by serving His church body. We read this book as part of our Church council. We decided that the book is a great reminder and should be read by every church member.The book is good, and I enjoyed it. A person could probably read it in one sitting, as it is very short.It is great reminder that we are not a member of a country club, but a member of the church, which will require some elbow grease as my dad would say.Your personal views are only part of the church, the vision that the church as cannot and should not be what "YOU" want.
