So I purchased this book, thinking it was just a novella and wouldn't resonate as much as real novel. Well, obviously I was mistaken. God, it hurt so much and I don't think I can trust myself to form coherent words right now. I am set to purchase In The Afterlight tomorrow and I only just found out about this novella's existence this morning. And I was glad I did. It was very interesting and I love love love Sam -- and of course, Lucas.Anyway, I am looking forward to reading In The Afterlight tomorrow (or later rather, since it's past midnight) so ... #PrayForNea2014 I can't...I was so hopeful and then...this is probably the best novella I have ever read. Thanks Alexandra Bracken. I mean...I really wanted a faceful of heart wrenching feels. But seriously, I think this society is more terrible to read about than any dystopian ever. Because this isn't dystopian. It's set in this world and I can see how these things could start happening now. It's terrifying.
What do You think about Sparks Rise (2014)?
Wow this novella was so good and so so sad! Alexandra Bracken is a truly gifted writer!
