Speaking Of Jesus (Library Edition): The Art Of Non-Evangelism (2011) - Plot & Excerpts
Challenging book. Shows us ways of thinking out of our comfortable box & comfort zones. shares his perspective on Christianity, being a Christian, following Jesus & being a follower of Jesus. He shares his experience, insight, wisdom & perspective. Definitely something to think about & questions to ask yourself. I do not want to turn people away from Jesus, so how do I speak of Jesus, how do I share the gospel, the good news? Carl Medearis offers some suggestions. Carl is one of the only explicitly Christian speakers or writers that I like. He likes Jesus and he likes people, and the way he talks about them makes me like Jesus and people more, too. He's a better speaker than writer though, and this book was occasionally annoying in the ways that Christian books usually are. Here's a good sentence:"Idolizing somebody only for his death is a cheap fake compared to trying to live up to his life and words."
What do You think about Speaking Of Jesus (Library Edition): The Art Of Non-Evangelism (2011)?
Like most books I read, I can't agree with everything. Very thought provoking and worth a read.
