Spontaneous Happiness book title is a bit misleading in that it would seem you could discover happiness as quickly as you set a fire. But in reality Dr. Weil delves into the deeper causes of happiness. It is ok to be experiencing the ups and downs of life’s journey abut simply using pills will not make the blues go away. He breaks down the topic into a simple manner and gives methods to work on a more balanced approach to life’s many shifting problems and challenges. I am a big fan of Dr. Weil and in Atlanta they just open a restaurant based on his teachings, True Foods. I seek to be happy everyday but things get in the way. Now I can focus that happiness is not necessary a destination but a state of mind. I like this one a lot and I bought the paperback at BN today. Having listened to the author read the text, I truly felt like I was getting advice from a grandfatherly figure who was incredibly smart and wasn't interested in pushing his ideas down my throat. I have a habit of not reading dust jackets, so this book turned out to be different from what I thought, but I enjoyed the cafeteria style approach and look forward to posting an update after the 8-week program .
Great primer on alternative methods for treating dysthmia. Weil keeps it simple.

Was okay...not the best from DDR. Weil. Repetitious but glad I stuck with it.
