For me this series has sort of leveled off for me. I still enjoy Vic and some of the other characters but I just don't feel the humor or excitement that I did in the first few books. Jacob and Vic barely had any time in this book and most of it felt like a waste when it was pretty obvious what was going on. I miss Vic interacting with the dead the theme becoming more and more of a ghostbuster one. I like this series more with the realistic angle then the magic dust and white light stuff. Crash and Caroline basically disappear out of this book as well which was a disappointment. I adore this series. I love how each book adds more layers to this world and these characters, and how strong the relationship is between Vic and Jacob. This book turns everything upside down and ramps up the stakes and all the various relationships and interactions to a whole new level. I'm especially impressed that the author manages to stay away from all the normal cliched pitfalls you'd expect to crop up in this book after the way the last one ended. This series just keeps getting better and better. Can't wait for the next.
Love Vic's growth in this book. Can't wait for the next one....need more Vic and Jacob!
