Spravljaj Me V Težave (2012) - Plot & Excerpts

3-1/2 stars. I was looking forward to Jade & RoboCop's book after reading the first two in the series. Overall, I liked the story line, but what was a problem for me was that throughout the book, there were very detailed explanations of the horses and techniques & equipment associated with riding. Like sometimes pages of it. I don't mind a bit of detail if it somehow applies to the story, but I don't need to know the name of all of the equipment, which kid was on what horse, or to hear the corrections that Jade is giving to each child (ex) " Let's see how you do dropping your stirrups while your ponies are walking. You're going to have to keep your legs squeezing the saddle when you do this. all right, ease your toes out of the irons and let your legs drop. No need to tighten your hands on the reins, Jenny. did you see how Maggie tossed her head? It's because you were pulling on the bit. We want to have gentle hands." I felt that those details were superfluous and really disconnected me from the story, as I ended up skimming over the parts that, while probably interesting to someone who is an experienced horse owner/rider, made my eyes glaze over. If it weren't for those parts, the book would have earned 4 stars. I quite enjoyed Remember Me, Believe Me and the first in her new series entitled Once Tempted, but not do much this title. After reading three of Laura Moore's books, I see that she's ideologically consistent: women are slightly in peril (hero interferes when unpleasant men are hitting on the heroine in a bar; hero cautions heroine not to walk to her car alone, or open the door, because women aren't always safe); women cry; the villains are really bitchy women; men may have issues in their pasts, but they are never shown having real difficulties with their emotions; conflict stems from plot, and stupid withholding of info by heroine; mutual sexual attraction = love & marriage. Strangely and unpleasantly familiar from my 1980s teen Harlequin reading and soap opera viewing, and not something I'd want my daughter to fantasize about. No more Laura Moore books for me...

What do You think about Spravljaj Me V Težave (2012)?

i must say that jade is very true to herself. Last line of the book is my favorite.
