I loved Heaven Sent series and finally made room to read the first book in Indigo Knights series. Indigo Knight has similar format as Heaven Sent format of insta-love mix with bit of gay for you trope. Squire introduce the first member of Indigo Knight, Rabin Squire trying to make a serious go of making it after his group gets drop from their record company and disband. I have to say probably if i had read this book when it first came out and was still enamored about Jet Mykles's book I would be rating this higher. The thing that didn't work for me is the character Izzy. I felt even though they clearly state that he is 22 years old several time. I felt that also describe him as prepubescent girl that just made the relationship slightly icky for me. What I mean is the "clapped his hands and jumped up and down and what grown "man" has stuffed animals lined on his dresser. Even his flamboyant attitude seemed was part he played now they he was out of the closet. It never felt right that people were more worried of Izzy's state of mind instead Rabin who was in his first sexual relationship with a man. I never really understood his character and why he was a match for Rabin. I'm bit over stories about adult boys with adult men. Overall the story was cute for what it was bit ultimately forgettable.(2.5 stars) I really enjoyed this book. I have not read any of the Heaven Sent books. I love the world of Rock n Roll and this book was satisfying.Izzy was very cute and had sexy long hair. Rabin was a hot rocker with a nice British accent (yes, in my head!) I loved how open Rabin was to experimenting with gay sex (um, yeah probably because he turned out to be gay, or bi, whatever). It was a sweet gay for you love story.
What do You think about Squire (2010)?
This was by far Jet's best band book so far. She just gave me a new best band!
