Still Life With Bread Crumbs (2014) - Plot & Excerpts
This was one of those books that I really wanted to read (let's face it--it's Quindlen) and one of those books I really needed to read. Funny, sad, and liberating, this book seemed to give me license to be myself, even in the midst of the place where I live and stand out like a sore thumb, and even in the midst of rough edges of environment. I read this book and forget the self-consciousness of age on a women in our society for just a bit. What a great gift. Rebecca Winter is a photographer who is leaving New York for the country in an attempt to save money and reorganizer her career. Her fame as a photographer due to a picture called Still Life With Bread Crumbs, a photo she took of her kitchen after a dinner party.
