This book is up there with special forces and captive prince, when it comes to creating characters that u are swept away with immediately. This book is hard to read if you have a life because it so hard to find a part to put it down on. The characters are so bent and twisted but you start to see that they have the same issues we have all suffered from but they just never grew out of it like others do and u get to see how it transforms with age in a person. Loved it from start to finish That title is seriously misleading. Seeing it and the "dark" tags I expected all kinds of scary stuff, like abduction, non-con...what I didn't expect was a genuinely funny read. Yes, it's all twisted and messed up - but in such an entertaining way. There is lots of seriously kinky stuff, the relationship Lindsay and Pip have is kinda unhealthy, but they care for each other so deeply and they're crazy in love. I loved the pair of them, especially Lindsay. He was so precious, all grumpy and scared of his feelings for the girly Pip. But Pip had him under his thrall and wrapped around his finger from the start, so Lindsay had no chance. Pip was too much at times..so childish and bratty, it made me a bit creeped out. But not totally so.The plot is barely there, which is why I detracted a star. It was all about Pip&Lindsay's relationship, which for such a long book can get boring at times.I'm looking forward to the sequel!
What do You think about Stockholm Syndrome (2009)?
