Definitely not my favourite in the Meg Langslow books, but still an enjoyable addition. The action takes place over the course of a single day, which made it feel a little rushed at times. The plot was filled with slightly ridiculous red herrings, as one would expect from a Meg Langslow book, and there wasn't QUITE enough of Meg's bonkers family for my liking. Mostly, I spent the book feeling sorry for Meg - spending her day running all over the house trying to solve a murder while dealing with approximately 50 houseguests? Not exactly an ideal situation at the best of times, but when you're eight and a half months pregnant with twins? Ouch. Definitely not one to read if you've not read the entire series, as there's very limited introduction to the characters and the relationships between them. This is the 12th book in the Meg Langslow mystery series. The plot involves a full Waterson house of Caerphilly students, displaced due to heating issues at the school, and culminates in the murder of Dean of the English Department. Meg seemed a little off her usual sleuthing game, but can be excused due to the impending birth of her twins. Still a fun read and I enjoyed the "names" used for the twins throughout the book.
