It was funny, I totally digged that! The main protagonist, Odile (that name sounds cooler) was quite frustrating most of the time. I mean she makes herself sound like a badass, but is constantly being saved! Sure she can take a hit, but can't she get a moment to feel utterly helpless with no help in sight then come through on her own with control and a smart ass comment (without almost killing everyone around her with a freak storm she can't control) I read the book and liked it, didn't love it, but do intend on reading the series through. 4.5 stars for being a lot of fun, but the writing seemed a bit lazy sometimes. I listened to the audiobook version, which may have improved the experience because the voice actress has excellent comedic timing.As other reviews have noted this book is does have sexual content. There is one long sex scene and two short ones. The scenes do develop the characters and move the plot forward. I didn't find the scenes obnoxious, but if you are sensitive to that sort of thing please keep that in mind.Speaking of plot, the urban fantasy storyline is not particularly original, but has enough twists and self-awareness to make it amusing and familiar. Favorite part: The fairy king Dorian is a mix of trickster and ambitious leader character traits. However, he seems to have some semblance of a moral code, which makes him likable enough to get invested.

Not as bad as some of the reviews I had read. Some corny parts but overall an enjoyable read!
