I got almost halfway into this book and just had to stop. Reading some of the reviews with spoilers is making me very happy I did. Just the things Jonathan was saying in the sex scene turned me off. No man talks like that!! Plus after all of the " I don't sleep with anybody" she's just gonna jump into bed with him and have unprotected sex? With the "man-whore"??? She's grossed out by hands!!!!Ridiculously unreal. These books are always obvious fantasy but only one other book has prompted me to actually write a negative review and I actually was able to finish that one. I received a copy from the author in exchange for an honest reviewStricken Desire is the story of Emily and rockstar Johnathan Striker. Emily is thrown in with the band when she agrees to help out with managing them. The tension between Emily and Johnathan sizzles from the very beginning. Johnathan is a typical rocker with the manwhore status. Emily wonders what she got herself into by helping out and taking on the band. She doesn't take any crap from Johnathan and is not afraid to put him in his place. And, there are some super hot scenes in this book! The reason I only gave it three stars is because I couldn't really get in connection with the characters. I didn't get sucked into the emotions the characters were feeling. I was wanting to feel more with this story, but unfortunately I never did.
Bad introduction to the main character. So unrealistic and immature. DNF
