Every now and then I find a diamond in the rough among the freebies I happen to run across and this is definitely one of them. This book fit into a category for a group challenge I was doing and let me tell you I was pleasantly surprised! I couldn't put it down, I wanted to know the characters more, I wanted to know how it worked out. The main characters literally hate each other at the beginning, you can feel the tension and animosity and underlying lust from a mile away. From beginning to end I was sucked it, even with the secondary characters. I did not notice many editing errors, the flow was smooth, the dialog and descriptions were dead on. I was very happy that even though there are plenty of cowboys there was not of that overused cowboy nonsense that makes you gag after a while (howdy ma'am, way overused slang, gentlemanly to the point of nausea type thing). The sex scenes were done in a romantic way, but still great detail. I liked how the "V" card was dealt with.Great read that I would highly recommend to anyone who has a secret desire for alpha men on a ranch(or not so secret)! Jake and Jessica met under work circumstances, but things heated up on the first moment her met her. she was not supposed to be a woman, Her name was Jess. But she learned to take the heat of others thinking she was a man by Jess W not Jessica. But she is the best archetic and that is what he is getting whether he likes it or not. Rude, but she gives right back what he dishes. Up and down, but great love hate relationship.
What do You think about Strictly Business (2012)?
I quite enjoyed this one. I liked the hate to heat angle.
