Yes, he ripped this idea off Stuff White People Like and so blatantly mentions that at the beginning of the book. This book is a collection of essays based on his website stuffchristianslike.net. I don't recall how I came across this book, but I'm glad I did it. The essays are about things common among Christians. It's funny for we find out we're not unique at all. It's a fun way to laugh at ourselves. Acuff really hits the nail on the head with this book.If you're a Christian and/or attend church regularly this book is something I know you'll enjoy. The entire time I'm reading this book I found myself nodding my head and completely agreeing with everything written. OK, maybe not everything. I do go to very conservative church so we don't have the Chris Tomlin type preachers and so forth as Acuff puts it, but most of the things I can relate to.Do check out his website and then check out the book. It is well worth it!I read this book for pure pleasure via Amazon Kindle on my phone and tablet. All opinions are my own. I was not compensated for this review in any way. I throughly enjoyed this book. Being raised as a PK and now being a pastor myself, it was so fun to laugh at some of the things I grew up with. I think that we, as Christians, can begin to take ourselves and our walk with The Lord sooo seriously that we end up living on the dark side of the moon drinking sour pickle juice. It's okay to laugh at ourselves once in a while and this book will help you do just that. It is a lot of fun.
