1.5 stars This started out with some interesting possibilities and could have been a fun read. But the story bogs down with a plot element that's never quite fully developed. The ladies are in DANGER. There is a traitor somewhere. Oh my. But this just fizzles and ends on an unresolved note. Not cool. The ending is so badly presented that it felt like the book had to end on a certain page number. I also tired of the endless sexist discussion among the women that there are "rules" about dating that make no sense and feel like petty mind games. "You can't accept a Saturday date on a Wednesday. You can't call a man back on the same day he calls you. You can't show that you're smarter than him on a certain subject." Ewww. Is it 1950?There's apparently a sequel. Part of me is curious to see if this book's loose ends get wrapped up. But after being jerked around for 200+ pgs, I think I might be done. I couldn't help but compare this to the succubus series by Richelle Mead as the plot line started off along vary similar lines - lonely succubus looking for love etc but it turned into more of a thriller/who done it type book (although loosely!) rather than straight forward romance. There's no happy ending in this one and it's hard to feel empathy with the characters as it's very much a supernatural sex in the city situation. It's enjoyable for something to read but not really a book you'd find yourself unable to put down.
Wasn't too bad - ending was total crap but then I guess it lends itself to a sequel.
