This is three short stories combined. The book is about a group of three friends so the beginning and end of the book is an intro and closing. Three different authors write their short story focusing on one of the friends. Kate Angell's "The Gingerbread Man" was my favorite, I would have given that four stars. It's as warm as a cup of hot cocoa. I enjoyed Donna Kaufman's "Where There's Smoke..." it was funny and sweet. I didn't care for the last story, Kimberly Kincaid's "Sugar and Spice". Perhaps because I thought the main character's love interest was too much of a jerk, and she wasn't someone very sympathetic so I was actually rather glad they ended up together. 3 wonderful and romantic stories about Christmas and cookies. How great! I loved each individual story written by each author but I exceptionally loved how the stories were tied together. The stories just flowed together. Where there’s Smoke by Donna KauffmanReally enjoyed the humor in the story. And also the chemistry between Clara and WillThe Gingerbread Man – Kate AngellHot and sizzling and funny as well.Sugar and Spice – Kimberly KincaidLoved this story by Kimberly Kincaid. A great introduction to the Pine Mountain series.
Delightful! Light, fun reading that got me in the Christmas spirit and made me hungry for cookies.
