Sweet Victory is like a big epilogue to the duology of His Wicked Games series..This book was short but so entirely filled with love and passion and emotion that it's hard not to love this book. And Calder. :PWhat this book is about is glaringly obvious from the start. It's just like a big foreplay for it.But it's cute and everything builds up to the perfect ending..I like how this series is not falling for a rich man or making the man rich again in the ending. It isn't that and it is so much more. It's making decisions and failing. It's falling in love and struggling. It's for all those who stood on their own. And for those who can identify the feeling of love and its capacity to the point that your heart feels like bursting to the full.Beautiful end to a beautiful story. Sweet Victory is exactly that, sweet. I stumbled across the His Wicked Games series back in July and I have been a little bit in love with it ever since. I can honestly tell you that it feels like Sweet Victory is Ember Casey's reward for her readers. It is everything I think a novella should be. I would read just about any situation Calder and Lily could find themselves in but Ember doesn't try to stretch this into a full length novel just to sell a book filled with fluff. She has given us a beautiful little look into the next phase of Lily and Calder.Lily and Calder continue to grow and now that they are officially a couple we see a more serious side to their relationship. As much as I enjoy Lily I have found her at times to be a little weak willed when it comes to Calder, but we really get to see some serious character growth in this story, especially after Lily gets locked out! Calder continues to show a more vulnerable side which just gives us more reason to love him. The game in this story is 20 questions, I admit, I think Lily could have done a little better with her questions but they were entertaining none the less.We get to meet a new character in this book and I'm kind of jazzed about the spin off that is coming out. Ember does a great job whetting our appetite for the new books. As always with Ember, we've been given a fast paced, sex and fun story and if you have read the Wicked Games series Sweet Victory is an absolutely must read for you!!!~Notte
What do You think about Sweet Victory (2014)?
This could have been added to book two. It was unnecessary. It's like an epilogue in another book.
