If it weren't for Eric's part of the story, this would have ended up on my DNF list. It almost killed me to finish reading it because while every book needs a little drama, this one took it too far without it making any sense at all. I'm still confused as to why the author took it down that path but I'm no writer and I'm sure it's no easy task. Overall, I was disappointed. On the positive side, at least it seemed to have a happy ending. Thank you to the author for allowing me to read this book as a read to review. I am very torn about my feelings on this book. It was an easy read, which was nice - but I think the author should have developed the story (especially character relationships) a little more. It almost felt like I was thrown in the middle of a love triangle without knowing how I got there. I agree with several reviews stating that it would have been nice to have a little more background...for example, why does Lauren hate Ivy so much??? There has to be more there. There were some points in the story where I felt I could understand and relate and the next minute I felt like "did that really just happen". Love and feelings are kind of just thrown around making Ivy seem almost dumb at times. That being said, i enjoyed reading it...I think I just wanted more out of it. I will probably continue the series to see how it all plays out and hope I will pick up a little more back story.
What do You think about Take Me Now (2000)?
I enjoyed this story. Eric deserves to be happy....
