Not my cup of teaI didn't love this book. Honestly, it was the ending that brought it up to almost a three star rating for me. The romance, dialogue, and the time travel transition were all too canned for me, like a bad made-for-tv movie. I'm overly picky about time travel romances, so maybe I'm too caught up in the details, but the book just didn't feel natural to me at all. However, I did like the ending because it was different and kept me intrigued. This was an easy read. The characters, while not outstanding, were interesting, the plot well-written. The ending was a little confusing but it's hard to write a time travel and make it believable. I enjoyed the love story between Truman and Jessica. When she is suddenly transported back to the old west, she is accidentally credited with killing an outlaw and comes under the watchful eye of the sheriff, Truman Wade. He doesn't trust her but that doesn't stop him from being attracted to her. When her life is threatened he goes about protecting her. Jessica knows she will have to tell him the truth eventually but what if he thinks she's crazy? She's falling in love but what hope do they have for the future? Even though I rated it a three, it was still worth reading, especially if you are a fan of time travel.
What do You think about Taken By The Cowboy (2000)?
More like a 2.5... But I'll round up. It wasn't as fleshed out as it could have been.
