I loved this book, I thought book was a great example for girls that are in an abusive relationship. I also loved the journey, the hardships, Zsa-Zsa faced while she was younger until she was a teenager. Zsa-Zsa pretends to have a perfect life both in school and outside of school. Only one person knows what she goes through at home, the only boy she trusted which was Malachi. On Friday's after her dad got paid and he got drunk, he would beat his wife leaving Zsa-Zsa and her sister Hadiah to flee to Malachi's bedroom. Later on in the book, Zsa-Zsa is seventeen and a lot has changed, her dad died of cancer and her mom is never home. She thought she had the perfect life until her jealous boyfriend Ameen starts to beat her. It becomes even worse when Malachi moves back to Detroit for good and he starts falling for Zsa-Zsa again. She took all of his beatings but still calls it love which forces her to break up with him, but he can't let the relationship go. Malachi treats her with kindness, love, and compassion everything she has ever wanted. The ups and downs of there relationships are like a rollacoaster when she starts to get involved with her ex-boyfriend again. At the end everything works out, Her mom and her worked things out and Malachi was always by her side. I recommend this book to the eighth graders and older because this book has mature content and is graphic to a younger readers mind. Dear Charan,i'm reading a book entitled Teenage Love Affair by Ni-Ni Simone which is a work of realistic friction. Zsa-Zsa the main character is a teenage girl who lives with her mom and younger sister and is very popular in school, in my opinion i would say she's conceited. Zsa-Zsa's dad died when she was younger and you could tell she's still very hurt by it. that makes me think about my life and how i would be if my dad wasn't in my life. a major conflict in this book was Zsa-Zsa ending up in the hospital because Ameen beat her up again. reading this book made me realize how your raised and what you see as a child really affects your adult life because Zsa-Zsa's dad was abusive to her mom and her mother use to do nothing about it, so when Ameen put his hands on Zsa-Zsa she thought it was her fault and allowed it. if i were Zsa-Zsa i would of had Ameen arrested and would of really tired to build a relationship with my mom. i'd recommend this book to any teenage girl in the world because its a really good book and could help people learn from Zsa-Zsa's mistake. sincerely,Ami Kyila
