Telesa - The Covenant Keeper (2000) - Plot & Excerpts
This is a story of a girl who finds her true roots, a lot deeper than she actually intended to. She falls in love with this hunky man, Daniel, who helps her in her struggle to overcome her destiny and fight against, who other, than her own mother. This book is pretty good, a classic teenage love novel with mystical events and a situation that calls for bravery and figuring out where the true heart lies. This book was amazing. I chose to read because so many people in my class were reading it, so I told my mum about this series and coincidentally one of her workers aunty was the author. I got so excited when I got told that, so my my mum got em the first 2 books. I liked every single bit of the first book but, if I had to choose one event, I would choose the part where the fight Leila and Daniel were against Nafanua and her covenant. This was when Leila had noticed that even though her mother was not very fond of her at the time, the love between them was so strong. It also interested me because in that part Leila was fighting for her love. My favorite character in the book would have to be Daniel because of how much he cared for Leila and that he still loved her no matter what would hit them. I also liked the way he was really tough and the way the author described him in the book was awesome!!In this book there is alot of Drama, Romance, Twists and amazing descriptions. If you are into all of this, I would recommend this to you.I loved this book so much that I read I read it all in 1 day, during the holidays.
