The 15 Invaluable Laws Of Growth: Live Them And Reach Your Potential (2012) - Plot & Excerpts
This book is incredible. I couldn't help but think over and over I wanted to put almost everything Maxwell says into quotes on my walls so I can see them often. This is a book I want to study and pickup at least once or twice a year. Why growth? As Maxwell puts it, "Growth doesn’t just happen. You must be intentional in order for it to happen and the longer you go doing the same old things, the less chance you have of changing. If you are going to change start NOW!" "There are two great days in a person's life: the day you were born and the day you discover why." I'm not a business owner/leader but I can lead my family and grow personally into who I want to become and continually clarify my role and desires. I listened to it, which for me self-improvement books are easier to retain when I hear them. Maxwell reads it himself. This book was great!!! I read The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership, so I knew what to expect. I listened to a cd my friend gave me that mentioned this book. (It was a seminar John C. Maxwell did) The points from that cd are in this book, but on the cd he only goes over so much. The book, like any other book, goes into so much more detail. I applaud his efforts with books like this. Principles that may seem simple have so much impact with application. Not every one may be committed to give up to grow up, but things like this give you recognition of where you are and where you can be. I definitely will be reading this again.
