This book had me hooked from the beginning. It has a little bit of everything. Action, romance, suspense, HOT alpha shifters, and more!Bobbi has been hired by several people to work a case that involves shifters going rabid. If her lead is correct then it connects to her brother's death and she plans on getting justice. Sadly she has to work with a partner that will make it all a little more difficult. She definitely does not expect to find friends and love that may be jeopardized. Jax has been on his own since he was 18 and raising his little brother. When he gets assigned the "rage" case he knows that the pay out means that he will not have to worry about his brother's medical school being paid for. Whe. hs is told he will be working with a partner he does not care and avoids meeting the "guy". When they finally meet Jax is surprised to learn the "guy" is a girl that brings a whole bunch of complications with her. He most definitely does not have the time for love.Each are out for their own self preservation and not willing to lose. With love thrown in the mix everything is up in the air. Who woll succeed love or the individuals? I liked the secondary characters in this book, Pixie and Kenneth and Ty. The story was ok, but the dialogue was funny. My main complaint is the author needs to proof better, the formatting was off for beginning of chapters, and several times she had the wrong name or a completely new name listed for one of the Main characters. I had to go back and reread passages to make sure I hadn't missed something, then realized it was just a name mix-up. I did like the story twist at the conclusion of the case, did not see part of it coming at all.
