I was looking forward to reading this, but now I've finished it I can't quite make up my mind about it. A lot of books are set in concentration camps, and describe the hideous brutality, this novel tells us nothing new. It felt quite disjointed to me somehow, lacking in flow. At times the prose was beautiful, at times it felt a touch clumsy. Saying that, I read it in one day, and became rather attached Daniel, the main character.
What do You think about The Auschwitz Violin (1983)?
saw where it was going, didnt make the journey very smoothly. afraid not one worth raving about.
