I wasn't really sure what to expect when I started this book. I had read the description and thought it sounded interesting even though it's not something I would typically go for. Boy was I ever surprised. This book is Great! I had a hard time putting it down. The humor and witty comments are spectacular! I love the interactions between these characters. I was smiling and laughing out loud through this entire book. What an awesome read! The only bad thing is I figured out the bad guy early on. But no matter. I cat wait to read the next installment. I read this book because it featured the game of poker, and I must admit the descriptions of poker hands and tournaments are spot on. The plot, however, deals primarily with Nadia Wolf and the many men in her life (and a mystery as well). Nadia can't keep her hands off of CEO Greyson Miller, and here I'm not referring to her poker hands. The action between them is hot, and once again, this is not the poker action I'm referring to. This is a fun book, not to be taken too seriously. Come along for the ride, and if you enjoy Nadia's escapades, you can follow them in the sequel as well.
What do You think about The Big Blind (2000)?
I really enjoyed this book. Nadia is a great character. Cannot wait to read the third one.
