I really wanted to love this book but it just didn't happen. The story happened way too fast - people just don't change like overnight. The premise of the story was good it just never developed into something remotely believable. You would have thought the main female character was a very young adult or late ten the way she fell madly in love at first sight but she was speed to be 32 year old professional. I'm waffling between two and three stars. . .just because it wasn't the worst book I've ever read. The Good:Great setting in Newfoundland.Sort of a modern day Jane Eyre. (Which might also be bad.)The Bad:Way too predictable. But also unbelievable at the same time.Cheesy dialogue.Needed more development. This was a short book. Some parts might have been more believable to me if more had happened between events.
It seemed pretty obvious what was going to happen and what the twists were. But I still enjoyed it.
