I think I've read one other by this author and probably enjoyed it for the same reason. Thoughtful, kind self-employed chef of "Have Faith" catering meets a wonderful man and they decide to marry. She closes up shop in New York City and moves into the settled suburban life of a minister's wife. Lots of lovely sounding recipes on the way, interesting relatives and friends, social commentary and name dropping of desirable accessories....oh and the various mysteries of what friends do and the odd murder here and there. The story has another flashback of sorts going back to reflect on Faith Fairchild's life prior to meeting her now husband, Rev. Tom Fairchild. The story, although part way into the series takes that opportunity to just now lay the foundation of Faith's origins, New York City, and that of Tom's, suburban Boston, including how they met up to the time of their wedding, and Faith's first real mystery she's forced to solve in between...with a sub-plot mystery to boot. The story was enjoyable with cute little reflections on Faith's courtship by Tom.
What do You think about The Body In The Boudoir (2012)?
A prequel focusing a wedding taking place in 1990, as did mine...

I really liked getting to know the beginning of this story.
