All I have to say is wow ... this book kept me on the edge of my seat, and I could not wait to read the sequel. It was very informative about the Chornobyl disaster, educating without lecturing. The characters were intriguing and likeable, and I couldn't help but root for Nadia! I especially enjoyed how some of the "bad" characters, such as Viktor, remained in a certain gray area - I even liked them! I definitely recommend this book, and cannot wait until the new one is released!! There is nothing mundane or cliche about this novel. From New York to Ukraine to Russia and back again, it's full of suspense, manipulative characters, organized crime, corruption, with some familial obligation thrown in for good measure. Expertly written to keep the reader's attention but sometimes there's almost too much to keep up with all of the plot angles, which is why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars.
What do You think about The Boy From Reactor 4 (2013)?
A fantastic thriller with a unique heroine and a great, albeit large, cast of characters.

A well written thriller with a side of info on the former soviet block countries.
