I loved this book, though parts of it were so hard to read. it is so sad what this boy went through and all his foster care placements and the fact that no one in authority believed him. The system fails so many kids. this is a true story about the horrible abuse this boy went through and how he survives it. Truly amazing that someone can go through something so horrific and not only survive it but become a decent human being that can hold down a job, and be a good husband and father. Worth reading but be prepared for it to stir up alot of emotions I can only describe this book as alright. The story is interesting enough and some of it is outright heartbreaking. I found myself unable to find the narrator Casey very likable. I found her too sensitive for her job and the way she managed things a little unbelievable. The book in general I guess was just not written in a way that particularly captured my attention. The story itself was quite an interesting one however.
Sad story as I have been in care myself, growing up and met many children like justin
