The Case Of The Missing Donut (2013) - Plot & Excerpts
The Case of the Missing Donut is a hilarious adventure featuring a young boy, as the Sheriff and a boy's best friend, his dog, as Deputy. The boy is given a task to bring home a dozen donuts! Little did he know how hard this task would be! A story of adventure, friendship, and being oblivious to certain situations creates a highly entertaining read. The illustrations do a great job corresponding to the story. The face on the boy shows many emotions throughout and I can't help but burst into laughter from his expressions. I also love that the donuts are given faces and personified in a certain aspect. It makes the story very fun and appealing for ALL readers! A very clever ending which wraps up the entirety of the book! I highly recommend this book and I think that it will be a great addition to my very own classroom library! Filled with colorful illustrations and humor we meet a young boy who's mission is to bring a dozen donuts home. I laughed out loud at the cover since the boy is dressed as a sheriff - I love a good cliche. Needless to say, the donuts don't all make it home, but our young sheriff can't figure out how Mom and Dad know that he was responsible for the donut's disappearance, until his cute sidekick dog looks up at the with donut crumbs on his chin.
