It was hard to love any of the characters in this book because they all had so many flaws, but it made for an interesting story. I think I liked Phoebe the best - she had a lot of tragic things happen to her, way more than most of the group, but she is the one that handled the loss of their friends the best. I found Delilah to be the most irritating of the 6 characters, she was extremely selfish. This is the first Hilderbrand novel I've read, and although it wasn't a story that I could "get into" I found the story well written and was satisfied with the delivery and "flow" of the story. This won't be the last I read of Hilderbrand, I'm looking forward to finding more of her works.Just an FYI: Unlike some other books I've read recently, this one at least was obviously "proofed" before publishing.
I love books that tell several person's point of view. This one does that superbly.

I liked the character development and how they all intertwined.
