Love Cora's writing style. Love cowboy/ranch stories and her books just get better and better. Love Jamie's character and what he will do to Claire. Love these too together, great secondary characters as well. Really enjoy the flow of this authors stories and enjoy the love too. Although I loved the Navy Seal and Soldiers bride books better I thought this one was sexy and funny and a good read 4 stars This Chance Creek novel is a bit better than the first one. It still suffers a bit from marking time. What I mean by marking time, CS allows the characters to wallow too much in their "lies". So much so that the reader can't help but wonder why the characters won't just sit down and have a conversation instead of "assuming" they know what is really going on. Again, once the story gets past that, it moves along at a decent pace. This installment still left me with a few questions. For example, what was the deal with Daniel? (Yes, he's on drugs, but that was still a major swing.) How does Edie fit into what Daniel was doing? Also, if Aria didn't squander the family fortune, who did? Did Alex do it and blame Aria? Maybe these subjects are part of the later books. I'm still not sure if I will read the subsequent books. There is an error in the Kindle edition around Location 1928 (64%). "Morgan stood up. 'Ethan. I'm Claire. I'm...your sister.'"
