The Crossfire Series Books 1-3 By Sylvia Day (2013) - Plot & Excerpts
Minimum plot, conspicuous consumption, while I don't feel the characters were one dimensional, they could be "fleshed out" more, and the sex scenes were fairly tame at best and downright awkward at worse ( there are better words and phrases for womanly parts then cleft). That being said, I thought the writing and story line improved with each book. I did like the characters, and I thought as a whole the Crossfire books were significantly better than 50 shades (at the end of 50 Shades I no longer cared about either of those characters and with Crossfire I am interested in what will happen to Eva and Gideon in the remaining books) I was a little apprehensive when ordering this book after reading the reviews. I loved the first 2 and this did not disappoint. Yes there is a lot of sex but that's what Gideon and Eva are about and the story goes on around them. I love the fact that Cary is now having serious relationship problems of his own and they are trying to work them out together as friends. Whilst Gideons past always seems to be coming back to haunt them it now seems that Eva is about to get a whole lot of trouble heading her way. I'm really looking forward to the next book. I just wish didn't read so quickly but then again when a book is this good it is hard to put it down. Might have to download the first 2 and start reading them all over again!
