Fell in love with Trent right away, even more so after getting more of his and the kids back story (I might have shed a tear or two, maybe). I then immediately liked Gage too, and could already feel the going on's between him and Trent on the job.Gage sees something he wants and goes after it with everything he has, while Trent who likes to keep everything in it's place and has to worry about his only family the kids, Rhonny and Aunt Crazy; however, he starts to bend his rules. Gage has a big 'crazy family' there to support him. But eventually Trent ignores his rules and lets his heart start calling the shots. Gage seems to fit into Trent & the kids lives seamlessly, and thanks to all his nieces/nephews is great with them too. Trent can't believe he has found someone like Gage, however, he keeps waiting for the other shoe to drop. The other shoe finally does drop, but neither of them understand it. This part killed me seeing them both struggling to understand what just happened, how to deal with it and try to work past it.I do have to say while Gage and Trent were great, I think the kids stole some of the show (so to speak). Hmmmmm not entirely sure what to think.I liked the story but found parts to be irritating.The most irritating was that as soon as Gage came into the book I had Anderson Cooper pictured in my head and it never left.Moving on.Gage....everything I like until he suddenly becomes everything I cant stand. "tell me you like me, tell me Im not alone" WHINEY!!!Trent....Awesome.The story was better than I thought it would be however.
