The Curvy Vet And The Billionaire Cowboy (2014) - Plot & Excerpts
A novella of around 70 pages and a freebie read, by Victoria Wessex. It was surprisingly good and reasonably well written for a freebie. At first I thought, oh oh billionaire but this wasn't the usual run of the mill. Amanda, a top vetinarian and specialist in virology, especially in horses, but also a city girl used to lab work not in the field vetinarian work. She is body conscious and disgruntled at going out to oil tycoon Russ's horse stud, where it seems money can buy all, and she reluctantly goes to pay a first, a house call miles from anywhere in the middle of Wyoming.Russ, well he isn't anything like my idea of an oil tycoon billionaire, more jeans and horse cowboy who has seen and set his heart on a feral horse he recognises with some killer virus. Enter Amanda. Romance and an erotic interlude in the wilds and all the disgruntled antagonism this city vet has undergoes a nice turnaround. It is also nice to see the male protagonist who is a hunk, also wanting a normal, natural curvy female as opposed to stick thin modellas that are so unlike normal life...so this gets a thumbs up from me.The virus and treatment was plausible, I don't know enough to know if specifically accurate, but would imagine so the way it is covered. So a good three stars from me. Nice contemporary romance with an erotic scene thrown in too. This was a cute, but very short story. I loved Russ, the hot billionaire businessman turned cowboy. He knew what he wanted, and went for it. Amanda was kinda annoying. She's curvy and apparently overweight. She couldn't imagine that Russ could be interested in her because of her body. I'm not a fan of insecure women who prevent their own happiness because of self doubt. However, don't worry, Russ is very persuasive. And fast moving too. There are a number of more books in this series, but I think they're each under 100 pages and cost $3.00, so I'm not sure I'll read the others. I liked but just didn't love.

Nice, short story, but depth is an issue due that.
