The Daughters Join The Party (2011) - Plot & Excerpts
This book is the last book in the Daughters series, from Emma's point of view. Her father is a senator running for president. She has to live up to the expectations of her older brother, who is better than her in a lot of things. She gets put in the spotlight after her father's presidential campaign starts, and she starts to question what image she has and what she wants the public to think. I recommend this book if you like the Daughters series. The Daughters Join The Party by Joanna Philbin is a good book. I really liked how this book was not about an ordinary girl. This book was about a girl whose dad is running for president! It was great that Philbin was able to describe what it is like to live in a politician's family. Emma, the girl whose dad is running for her president, and the rest of her family has no time to see her dad! The only thing that I wish Joanna Philbin changed would be that she would include the rest of Emma’s friends more into the book. I feel like this book was a little to focused on Emma’s family, and not on Emma’s three best friends. However, I would recommend this book to my classmates because there is a very surprising twist, and it is engaging. Unfortunately, this is the last book in The Daughters series, so I will not be able to read another book from this series. Read this book, it has a great plot!
