She walks inside, kicking off her shoes as she looks back at her dad before placing her purse on the table by the door. “You didn’t have to wait up for me, you know.” Alia says, shaking her head as she looks up at her dad. “I was coming right home…” “I just want to make sure there was no funny business.” He says, closing the door behind him and locking it before walking out of the living room and into the kitchen. “I’m home!” She says, watching her dad drink a glass of water. “What kind of funny business could I possibly get into? You have to work tomorrow; I can’t believe you would stay up like this…” “Alright…” Her dad says, clearing his throat as he places his glass in the sink.
