LEEANN'S REVIEW - 5 StarsOMG I absolutely loved this book way more than I thought I would! !This is a story about a father who can't help himself, he has an illness, he is a gambler..He is neck deep in debt and the person he owes the money too wants his daughter.Amara is young and has no idea what this deal entails, so in her naivety she agrees. Years later Amara is happily living her life with her loving boyfriend when the debt collector named Phillip comes calling. Life as she knew it changes forever that day.Amara is thrown into a world she never would have dreamed to find herself in. Her father shows no remorse and continues to gamble. The biggest threat having over Amara's head is the risk of having her terminally I'll mothers treatment stopped. This is one of those books with many twists and turns and you never know who the real player are.Amara has no idea who she can trust and she soon learns things are never as they seem. There are so many smoke and mirror moments and they are all as intriguing as the real reason for Phillips need to have Amara involved in the first place. The real shock is the ending.. I honestly never saw that coming!! I cannot wait for the Sinners Bargain to see how it all ends! HOLY CRAP ON A CRACKER......I seriously love this author, she is brilliant and just keeps hitting then out of the ball park. I literally don't think I can wait the 2 days until the next book comes out...... No fair....don't end a book like that!!!! Do yourself a favour and get this book NOW, but don't start reading it until Sep 30th when the second book in the series "The Sinner's Bargain" comes out, follow my blog for the release day party, and give-away.Okay back to the book..... I'm not going to give much away as it will spoil the story for you, but the main character in this book is Amara a young woman in her early 20's living in New York, she is just finishing college, has a wonderful boyfriend Colin who adores her, she works for her uncle and comes from a wealthy family who emigrated from Iran. Her world is literally turned upside down when she is forced to leave her life as she knows it to save her father from his gambling debts and to pay for her mother medical bills, who is living with cancer. She walks away from the man she loves and adores and the mother she cherishes and enters the unknown, where she is contracted to a man named Phillip for 2 years. That's all you get people!!!! But just know that you will love and hate the characters in this book. As much as I loved Amara and felt incredibly sorry for her I also wanted to slap her upside the head.. Seriously woman what the hell???? Colin was drool worthy and hot, but again...you just let her walk away? and agree to marry for money? Um okay kinda lowered yourself in my opinion. what I do know is that he loves Amara, but I felt he could have fought harder for her....The things people do for money........This book has a plethora of emotions and I was enjoying it so much I did not even realise I had got to the end of the story.Let me warn you the cliffhanger will hit you like a sledge hammer!!!! Cant wait to pick up the next book!Love your work Claire!!!!!!
