The Downfall Of A Good Girl (2013) - Plot & Excerpts
very light n fun:) realistic included; no melodramatics or traumatic past involved. it was a case of opposites attracting. they had a thing going since childhood but masked it wid antagonism n dislike, u no the hate/love kind. the author dealt wid it very lightly. i mean it was not the kinda of book wid high emotions or hot scorching chemistry. the sex was great but they did not burn the sheets. vivi was quite the lil madam n it's expected, she being miss louisana n runner-up in the miss america conquest. she genuinely had a superiority complex, had dat high all-mighty and butter-would-not-melt-in-her-mouth attitude; while connor athough being actually a superstar(rock star 2 be more precise) was a down-to-earth man, not conceited or smug or whatever. it's fun how these 2 fell in love or it seemed like they were already half in love, had 2 meet again n be in close proximity 2 realise dat. dunt miss it:P This is a LOT more New Orleans-y, which is awesome. I think the biggest knock against it is how fast it happens (the entire thing takes place over the four weeks of Mardi Gras), but since the people in question have known each other for years, it bothers me less than it might have elsewhere. I also thought the famous person stuff was done reasonably well, if that's something you're into reading about.
