The Dragon Heir. Cinda Williams Chima (2011) - Plot & Excerpts

Over long build up to a somewhat muddled and boring battle mar this book. It felt like an unnecessary addendum to The Wizard Heir. Still... I'm of course going to go read Dead To Me (Heir Chronicles 3.5 - a short PDF download) right now then The Enchanter Heir because I'm unable to leave a story unfinished. Then on to The Sorcerer Heir to wrap things up. If the pattern I've found in Chima's books follows, I'm probably going to like Enchanter more. In the Dragon Heir, a lot happens that can simply not be explained except for the simple fact that this world is a lot different than it appears. An emotional roller coaster of events take place through the entire book, beginning, middle and end. Through the first two books, it has been the five main magical guilds. The Warrior, Wizard, Seer, Soothsayers, Enchanters. Now, there is a new guild in town. This new guild will end up ruling them all whether they know it or not. This book was really good, except for a few parts when it felt as if going slow. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys "The Heir Chronicles" series.
