I really enjoy all the needlework mysteries by Monica Ferris. Since I enjoy mysteries and needlework, it is a perfect combination. Crewel World sounds like a pretty neat store and Godwin cracks me up. What is different about this series is that Betsy works with the police. Most of the time in this type of book, the police take a dim view of amateur investigators. Anyway the books are easy reading and hold your interest. Monica has done it again with another interesting, fast paced enjoyable Betsy Devonshire mystery. I enjoy all of her books and eagerly await new ones which just don't come rapidly enough. Perhaps though it is the length of time between them which allows her to do enough research and editing to make them as good as they are. I always end up online checking out the many patterns and designers she refers to during the book which sometimes slows down my reading, but clearly adds to the enjoyment of the series. Drop by for a stitch in/ read in any time... you'll soon be a fan if you aren't one already.
Not as good as some of her previous books.
