The Eat-Clean Diet Recharged!: Lasting Fat Loss That's Better Than Ever! (2009) - Plot & Excerpts
Good advice about eating "clean" (natural unprocessed foods) and avoiding processed sugars, non-whole-grain flours, and highly processed foods. One thing I completely missed the point on was when she was discussing the importance of eating clean on one's skin appearance. She went from saying how important good nutrition is to talking about how sometimes one might need to resort to cosmetic surgery to help with sagging skin after a big weight loss. She then goes on to talk about/justify her breast reduction? and then consequent implants??? Totally lost me there. Why would you place foreign objects in your body when you're so vigilant about the substances you ingest??? Because saggy boobs aren't attractive? Before reading, I was thinking her chest was pretty perky for her age....now I know why! :)Aside from that odd section of the book, the rest was pretty interesting, though not news to those who are into "traditional" eating (eat good fats, whole grains, no sugar, lots of fruit and veg, etc.). The Cooler shopping list is helpful to get started, but the recipes don't look like ones that would be practical for me (large family, some who are picky; ingredients I don't like). AH-MAZING! I think everyone should read this book because of all the information Tosca has in it.It's common sense that we should all be eating 100% clean since our bodies are designed for clean, real foods.I haven't been eating 100% clean but I definitely got the little kick I needed to start on my 100% quest. I look forward to all the positive changes my body will endure from here on out!Tosca is an amazing & inspirational woman who I admire so much. I would love to meet her someday. Beautiful woman, beautiful book.Read it!
