This book was super and part of what made it super were all the super things missing. There were no super-villains, super-spies, super-thieves, or supermen. There were just two people trying to get on with their lives in the mess of human emotion and motivation. Good people do bad things and bad people do good things and some people are just people. It was the romantic suspense version of The Wire, and I'm not sure there could be a higher compliment. (I'm relying on Noah no to turn into McNulty). This is the first book I've read from Jill Sorenson, and definitely not the last!AMAZING, fast paced, non-stop action right till the end!The characters are flawed, broken, strong, loyal, and incredibly passionate. The story is so well written, that I had a hard time putting the book down until I finished the story.Absolutely recommend this book to contemporary romance/ thriller-suspense/ crime-drama lovers!
